Finding Inspiration in Every Turn

Chidaoba (Georgian wrestling) is an ancient sport that blends strength, strategy, and culture. It has been a proud part of Georgia’s heritage for centuries, combining powerful throws and graceful technique.

Our Story

Tim Katosee – Founder of the Georgian Wrestling & Culture Federation USA

Tim Katosee is a lifelong martial artist and cultural ambassador whose journey began in the wrestling halls and judo mats of the former Soviet Union. As a young athlete, he quickly rose through the ranks, becoming a finalist in the USSR Judo Championship and later achieving recognition as a champion in judo. His dedication, discipline, and passion for combat sports shaped not only his career but also his vision for the future.

Today, Tim has carried that same spirit across the ocean to the United States, where he has founded the Georgian Wrestling & Culture Federation USA. This organization is dedicated to preserving and promoting the ancient traditions of Georgian wrestling (Chidaoba) and sharing the richness of Georgian culture—including dance, music, and food—with new generations.

Through his federation, Tim strives to create a bridge between Georgia and the U.S., offering opportunities for young athletes, fostering cultural exchange, and inspiring communities through the values of respect, honor, and heritage that wrestling and Georgian culture embody.
